About Ankara Fan Coil Maintenance: Filter, Drain and Valve Checks
Fan coils are the last link of centrally served buildings in Ankara. Ministry and public institution buildings, hospitals, hotels, university campuses and older-generation office buildings can have hundreds of fan coils connected to the chiller and boiler room. Ceiling, cassette, floor-standing and concealed ceiling units can coexist in the same building.
Many buildings in Ankara use a two-pipe system; that is, the same pipe carries cold water in summer and hot water in winter. If valves, thermostats and automation settings do not work correctly during seasonal changeovers, this turns into complaints that some rooms do not heat or cool. When units that have run in heating mode for a long time switch to cooling in spring, the drain pans start collecting water again; if the pan and line are not clean, odor and water-dripping problems appear.
The city's dry, dusty summer air and crowded office and public areas cause filters to fill quickly. A full filter reduces airflow, speeds up coil fouling and spoils room comfort. In buildings where hygiene is a priority, such as hospitals and hotels, filter and pan cleaning should be planned at shorter intervals.
Fan coil maintenance should not be considered separately from the system it is connected to. If water temperature, pump pressure and line balance on the boiler or chiller side are not right, even a cleaned fan coil cannot heat or cool a room adequately. That is why, in buildings with many complaints, we check the hydraulic balance along with fan coil maintenance.
Our services for Ankara Fan Coil Maintenance
Fan coil maintenanceFilters, coil, drainage; bulk maintenance by unit.
Chiller maintenanceCondenser, compressor, refrigerant leak test and measured report.
Air handling unit maintenanceFilter replacement, fan and belt, coil and hygiene.
Annual maintenance contractScheduled maintenance, priority on breakdowns, single price.
Public maintenance tendersService that meets the specification, ready documents.
Breakdown and repairbreakdown and service line, all brands and systems. How do we work?
In buildings with many fan coils we plan maintenance by floor or block and set working hours together with the institution; in hospitals and hotels we sequence flexibly according to occupied rooms. We record the work done on each unit and report faulty motors, valves or thermostats separately. We respond to breakdown calls within Ankara the same day. We can carry out maintenance of the chiller and air handling units that the fan coils are connected to under the same contract. For a detailed checklist, see our fan coil maintenance page.

Frequently asked questions
How often should fan coil filters be cleaned?
It depends on usage intensity; at least once per season is recommended in offices and public buildings, and more often in buildings such as hospitals and hotels.
Water is dripping from the fan coil. What is the cause?
Usually a blocked drain pan or drain line. Insulation damage and the tilt of the unit can also be causes.
Some rooms do not heat in winter. Is it a fan coil fault?
It could be the fan motor, valve, thermostat or air in the line. We determine on site, by measurement, whether the problem is in the unit or in the piping.
How long does it take you to finish a building with hundreds of fan coils?
The duration depends on the number of units, their type and access conditions; after the site survey we prepare a separate work plan for the building.
