Who is it for?
Consulting makes a difference especially before a high-budget investment decision, when there are complaints of frequent breakdowns or high energy bills, in tender and purchasing processes, and in determining the technical condition of buildings that change hands.
How does the process work?
- Initial meeting. Together we clarify your need, building information and the expected deliverable; scope and duration are set in a written quote.
- Site survey and data collection. An equipment inventory is prepared, and project and maintenance records, energy bills and automation data are collected.
- Measurement and calculation. Values such as temperature, pressure, current and power, and air and water flow are measured; heat load and efficiency calculations are carried out.
- Analysis and options. Findings are evaluated, and the cost, energy and risk impact of each option are compared.
- Written report and presentation. Measurement data, calculations, recommendations and priority order are reported; the report is reviewed together with you.
- Implementation support. If you wish, we provide technical support in implementing the recommendations, in the tender or purchasing process, and in commissioning.
What do the reports contain?
- Building and system inventory
- Measurement values and measurement conditions
- Heat load and capacity calculations
- Current condition and identified problems
- Options and cost comparison
- Energy saving potential and payback estimate
- Work list in priority order
- Field findings with photos
Note: Energy savings and payback figures are estimates based on measured data and the assumptions stated in the report; they are not guaranteed savings.
What do we look at in an energy efficiency analysis?
In HVAC systems, energy loss usually comes not from one big breakdown but from accumulated small problems. In the analysis we bring these problems to light through measurement.
| What is examined | Common finding |
|---|---|
| Operating hours and schedules | Equipment, pumps and fans running while the building is empty |
| Setpoints | Chilled water or room temperature settings lower than necessary |
| Heat exchangers and filters | Efficiency loss due to dirty condensers, evaporators and filters |
| Pumps and fans | Fixed-speed motors running without frequency drives |
| Chiller sequencing | Inefficient compressor and chiller staging at part load |
| Heat recovery | Unused or disabled heat recovery opportunities |
For a preliminary assessment, you can use our IPLV and COP, frequency drive energy savings and energy cost calculators.
Technical specification and tender support
In maintenance and repair tenders and equipment purchases, basing the technical specification on the equipment inventory, maintenance intervals and measurable performance criteria makes it easier both to get the right quote and to monitor the work during the contract. We prepare a draft specification covering the equipment list, maintenance scope, reporting format and spare parts terms. For public procurement, see our public maintenance tenders page.
Recommendation: To avoid a conflict of interest, it is recommended that the company that prepares the specification does not bid on the same tender. This point is clarified explicitly at the start of the job.
Testing, adjusting, balancing and commissioning
Whether new or revised systems are running at their design values can only be verified by measurement. We measure air and water flows, balance with valves and dampers, test automation scenarios and deliver the results with a commissioning record. For preliminary calculations, take a look at the airflow and duct and chiller flow rate calculators.
Brand-independent assessment
YOİ Mühendislik is an LG authorized service and sales point; for other brands it provides independent technical service. In consulting work, we base our recommendations not on brand preference but on measurement, calculation and the building's needs. Where a product we sell is recommended, we state this clearly in the report.
Work requiring official approval: For mechanical installation projects that require municipal or institutional approval, the required authorization certificate and signature requirements are clarified at the start of the project; the scope of consulting is set accordingly.
Systems we serve
Our headquarters is in Etimesgut, Ankara. We provide consulting services in Ankara and, on a project basis, in all 81 provinces of Türkiye. See the areas we serve.
Frequently asked questions
How is the consulting service priced?
The fee is determined by the size of the building, the number of systems and the scope of the report requested. We provide a written quote after an initial meeting and, if needed, a site survey.
How long does it take to deliver the report?
It depends on the scope and the measurement period. The delivery time is stated in writing in the quote.
Do you only recommend the brands you sell?
No. We base our recommendations on measurement and calculation; when a product we sell is recommended, we state this clearly in the report.
Should we replace our existing system, or continue with maintenance?
The existing system assessment answers exactly this question: a recommendation is given by comparing the condition and efficiency of the units, spare parts availability, and the costs of repair versus replacement.
Is remote consulting possible?
Work such as quote comparison and project and specification review can be done from documents. Work that requires measurement is done on site.
Do you serve all of Türkiye?
Yes. Our headquarters is in Ankara; in other provinces we provide project-based service.
