About air handling units
In hospitals, shopping malls, factories and office buildings, air cleanliness and temperature depend on the condition of the AHU. A clogged filter increases energy consumption; a loose belt reduces airflow; and a dirty coil impairs both efficiency and hygiene. On hygienic AHUs, maintenance must be documented in line with standards.
What we do
- G4, F7, F9 and HEPA filter replacement
- Fan, belt, pulley and bearing service
- Cooling and heating coil cleaning
- Drain pan and trap check
- Humidifier and droplet eliminator maintenance
- Heat recovery (rotary, plate) service
- Damper and actuator check
- Differential pressure and flow rate measurement

AHU maintenance schedule
- Monthly: filter differential pressure, belt tension
- Quarterly: pre-filter replacement, drainage, dampers
- Semi-annual: coil cleaning, bearing lubrication
- Annual: bag/HEPA filters, fan balancing, airflow measurement

Frequently asked questions
When should AHU filters be replaced?
Differential pressure matters more than the calendar; filters are replaced when they reach the manufacturer's limit. Pre-filters are usually replaced every 3 months, bag filters every 6-12 months.
Is hygienic air handling unit maintenance different?
Yes. It requires hygiene-compliant materials, disinfection and documentation; in hospitals, maintenance is planned with the infection control committee.
Does ventilation stop during AHU maintenance?
Planned maintenance is carried out after hours or during low-load periods; redundant systems are serviced one unit at a time.
